Connie's obituary
Connie Kathryn Donaldson- Gutierrez was born April 23, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois to George and Elizabeth Donaldson. She passed away in Loveland, Colorado on October 29, 2021 with her daughter Tiffany and granddaughter Torrie by her side.
Connie is preceded in death by her mom and dad Elizabeth (Kroepel) and George Donaldson, her step mother Dorothy (Turpen) Donaldson, her Aunt Easter, and her step brother John (Aka Jack) Turpen.
Connie is survived by her two daughter's Kim Phipps, Kim's husband Bill Jurgens; their two kids Coltton and Savannah Jurgens. Tiffany Sulley; Tiffany's daughter Torrie Gutierrez. Her three son's Jeffrey Gutierrez, Eric Phipps and Duane Kosobud-Gutierrez and his son Gabriel Kosobud. As well as her brother Jerry Donaldson, his wife Dorene and their two daughters. Her sisters Debbie, Delores aka Cricky and Sharon.
Connie lived in Peoria, Illinois, Commerce City, Lakewood, Westminster, Longmont and finally settled down in Loveland, Colorado.
She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois in 1966. Then started a life out here in Colorado.
Connie did everything for her kids especially Jeff, Tiffany and Duane as well as for their friends. She loved how Tiffany and Torrie had to move in with her and take care of her. Tiffany has heard how she gloated about it all the time to everyone.
Connie's passions were dancing especially to Bob Sieger, Credence Clearwater and the Beach Boys , but her ultimate favorite song was "sail away with me" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. She also loved doing puzzles and years ago she would make crafts for the kid's school and sell them for fundraisers. She made everything from bracelets to keychains.
Everyone loved how she would make Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners happen for not just her family but for others and everyone loved her deviled eggs, especially Gerry, one of Jeffrey's friends. Connie will be missed greatly by her family and her friends.
Services will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. at the American Legion, 305 N. Cleveland Ave. Loveland, Colorado 80537. There will be an open bar, provided by the American Legion; food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by the family.
