Marshall - Connie Marie Dewine, age 52, passed away on August 17th, 2023 at her home in Marshall, North Carolina. She was born on July 29, 1971, in Asheville, North Carolina, to John and Geneva Glenn. Connie is survived by her beloved mother, Geneva Glenn, and lifelong partner David Hensley. Connie leaves behind a loving legacy through her four children: Robert Dewine (Autumn), Patrick Dewine, Geneva Hensley (Sam), and Olivia Hensley. She is also survived by her brother, Johnny Glenn, and sister, Malinda Chandler (Jason). Connie will be deeply missed by her granddaughter, Haven Dewine, and her best friend and special cousin, Amy Stanley. She leaves behind many nieces, Hannah Hembree (Michael), Lydia Jett (Logan) and Destiny Chandler and one nephew Adam Moore ( Ashley) who she loved as if they were her own kids. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Connie was known for her kind, loving, and generous nature. She had a vibrant personality and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Connie had a successful career at Walmart in Weaverville, NC, where she created a strong bond with Brittany Robinson and many other work friends who will cherish her memory forever.

In her free time, Connie enjoyed spending quality moments with her family and friends. She found joy in playing horseshoes, bingo, and hosting regular Saturday picnics. Her love for her loved ones was evident in the happiness she brought to their lives.

Honoring Connie's final wish, a celebration of life will be held on September 9th, 2023 at Mary's Branch in Hot Springs, NC (more details to come). This gathering will allow all of Connie's friends and family to come together and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

Connie Marie Dewine will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her kind spirit, love, and generosity will always be remembered and cherished. May her soul rest in peace.
