Conchita C. De Berrios, lovingly known as Conchy and also as Concepción Colmenero Correa, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 88 in Buckeye, Arizona.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Conchita lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a devoted wife, an amazing mother, and the very best grandmother. Her grandchildren — along with many “adopted” grandchildren she embraced as her own — lovingly called her Ubi. She had a natural gift for making people feel cherished, welcomed, and seen.

Conchita loved people deeply and lived her life with joy. She had a signature sense of humor that could light up any room and a spirit that brought comfort and happiness to those around her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bolivar Berrios Aponte. She is survived by her children Pedro Berrios; Shamira van den Akker and her husband Bob, along with their children Peter and Luke; and Samara Loschiavo and her husband Steve, along with their daughter Isabella.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Founders Park in Verrado. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the extraordinary life Conchita lived.

Her legacy of love, humor, and generosity will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
