Colton's obituary

Colton Maxwell Floren, 24, passed away on January 11, 2025.

Born on July 20, 2000, Colton spent most of his life in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he became known as someone you simply didn’t forget. He had a presence that filled a room without effort, drawing people in with his natural charisma, quick humor, and magnetic energy. To know Colton was to laugh, to feel seen, and to experience a kind of loyalty and love that ran deep and unwavering.

Colton was the beloved son of Kelly Baker and Jonathan Floren, and a devoted brother to Chase Floren and Maxwell Floren. He is also survived by countless friends who became family to him, including V, and his girlfriend Lauren and her son Santana, who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and his best friend, Joao Luciano.

Colton was outgoing, intuitive, and deeply sensitive beneath his bright and lively exterior. He was kind, fiercely loyal, and endlessly caring—someone who showed up for the people he loved without hesitation. He had a beautiful smile, the bluest eyes, and a voice that was calm and comforting to listen to. He always seemed to know exactly what to say and how to help, offering not just words but action. Acts of service were his love language, and he consistently found ways to provide value and support to those he loved.

He had an entrepreneurial spirit and a determined mindset, recently founding his own business, Top Tier Pressure Washing LLC, just five months before his passing. He was ambitious, resilient, and a true self-starter, always striving to build something meaningful for himself and those around him.

He found joy in life’s simple and genuine moments—being around children, animals, and the people he loved most. His dog, Cali, was his baby girl and held a special place in his heart. He also loved watching football, especially cheering on the New England Patriots. More than anything, Colton dreamed of becoming a father. He adored children and often spoke about wanting daughters of his own. Those who knew him have no doubt he would have been an incredible father—loving, present, and deeply devoted.

Colton will be remembered for the way he made people feel: valued, understood, and loved. His spirit, his laughter, and his light will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He prolifically impacted the lives of many, his legacy lives on through all who were lucky enough to know and love him deeply.
