Colleen's obituary

Colleen Marie Parks who departed this life on December 7 2021, was born Colleen Marie Webster on September 3, 1956 in Manhattan NY. She was the daughter of the dearly deceased Robert Webster and Mary L Davis. She was the 2nd of 3 children, her dearly deceased brothers Keith R Webster (born 1952) and Rory A Webster (born 1958). Growing up as a child of the military she along with her mother and brothers moved around a lot , her father a Marine Lieutenant served in both The Korean War and Vietnam War and at on time lived on the military base Camp Lejuene in Jacksonville NC. Some of her hobbies were listening to jazz music, going to family events and trips, babysitting babies, helping those in need, and catching up on her favorite tv shows. After graduating from Ballou High School in 1974. She got a job as a bank teller in Downtown DC, and moved back to New York from 1978-1982. After moving back to Washington DC in 1982 she worked for Greater SouthEast Hospital ( now United Medical Center) and worked for The Department of Defense. In 1990 she and her family moved to North Carolina where she worked as a Supervisor at TLC Home a facility that cared for physically and mentally disabled children 1990-1993 in Sanford NC, she would eventually move to Durham NC in where she became a member of Gateway To Heaven United Holy Church of America where her mother served as a minister, and worked at The Department of Veteran Affairs Hospital as a Supervisor of Patient Services, and later a Supervisor of Dispatch Services for Sky Chefs at RDU Airport. She along with her family moved back to Washington DC in 2009 to be close to family, and became a member of Beulah Baptist Church along with her mother for the remainder of her life. She leaves behind her two sons Kenneth R Stallings(Washington DC) Kyle J Stallings (Suitland, MD). The Love of Her Life James M Johnson (Washington DC).A Sister Ana Webster( Los Angeles, CA) Daughter In Love Tenisha L Stallings (Suitland, MD) Her Cherished Grandson Messiah N Stallings (Durham NC) Two Godsons Stanley Lyons and Wesley Lyons (Durham NC). Her Best Friend/ Sister Brenda  A host of nieces and nephews notably Rorie I. Webster, Keona J. Webster Keith R Webster Jr, Andrew Webster, Tevin Webster and Devin Webster.
