Greg, Chris, Ryan and Betsy Ray mourn the loss of our dear son, brother, and friend, Colin Joseph Ray who suddenly went be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning October 5, 2022
That morning, Colin was excited to be driving to Texas for the move back after 7 years in Oregon. We, the Ray family, were so happy Colin was coming back!
Though we always kept up with one another on a daily basis, with loving patience and prayer our family was longing to have our precious Colin - physically - back in Texas for some time.
This day finally came to pass, it was on that Wednesday October 5th 2022, Colin was literally on his way, and making the move back to us in Dallas, Texas.
We spoke to him that morning but could not reach him after 10:15am Central Time.
Not until Friday, October 7th 5pm did it my mom, Chris get the call back from Oregon Officers who had connected California Officers to relay the unimaginable news. Medlen Oregon Sheriff reported that a logging truck hit Colin's Subaru head on crash that Wednesday morning and took the life of Colin in an instant.
To say that Colin was a beautiful blessing does not even begin to articulate his heart of and for the Lord's.
This unimaginable shock and tragic nature of a head on crash while en route to Dallas is too much to process alone.
Our Ray family and all those around Colin have been touched by the Light of Christ Jesus his Lord and Savior, who Colin truly expressed to everyone, in every place.
What a tremendous joy he was!? Our brilliant, witty, creative, loving young brother shined light on many countless dark places.
We just thank You, Lord for such a precious one Colin Ray.
First, your prayers matter, and are felt.
The care we've received and look forward to enjoying your heart for Colin and Greg, Chris and this family is truly incredible. For us it is all love found only in the Lord!
Thank you for loving the household through bringing in the practical supply for the emotional, mental, and physical strength needed to carry on.
We hope to hear from your heart soon! Colin's dear Mommy has said since we learned of Colin's death, she is encouraged by hearing how Colin Ray touched other's. Please see the link and note for sending us your recorded message for the Memorial time together. Your openness and speaking cherishes her heart and all of us beyond anything we could ask for. Truly.
