I am so incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of Colin. He and I became friends shortly after he moved to Oregon. What first caught my interest in him as a friend was his love of the outdoors. Over the years we did several camping trips together and would just go out for drives to explore and find new places. He taught me so many things about food, wine, the outdoors, learning to live life to the fullest and to be honest with yourself. Colin became like family to me and I to him. He was such an intelligent man and would infuriate me when I would study all day memorizing things and, just for fun, he would look at it once and remember it. He also helped me with my diabetic dog and his insulin shots with no instruction. My dog passed out one morning and Colin stepped in and kept me calm and got my boy back to normal. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do and his zest for life and learning things was beautiful. I’m going to miss our long conversations and his inspirational stories. As with so many people here, I could go on and on as he touched so many of our lives in unforgettable ways.

I can’t believe you’re gone Colin. You were my forever friend. I will never forget you.

Colin was a young person who participated in church meetings in our home. He brought vibrancy and joy to the times we shared with him. What we particularly enjoyed about Colin was the sweetness of the Lord coming to us through him.  We treasure these eternal memories of him. Jim and Mary Speight

Dear Greg, Chris, Ryan and Betsy - I cannot begin to express how grieved I was to hear of Colin's passing.  I remember babysitting the 3 precious Ray siblings over 35 years ago.  I pray the Lord would meet your every need.  I think of you all every day.

Dear Ray family,
I am so sorry. It's hard to lose a loved one, and I can't even imagine what you're going through. It really was a shock to hear about Colin. There are a lot of memories of my brothers and him growing up together, and I'm thankful to have known him. My family misses him, and I know lots of others do, too. You have so many dear believers praying for you all and the Lord is with you. I pray that He would be comfort and peace to all of you. Colin is in the best place now, and beyond any troubles or trials.
My condolences - Tim Bukovich

I am absolutely devastated to hear this. Colin was one of my closest and dearest friends. We worked together for 2 years at the Jacksonville inn and became friends for life.We would regularly talk on the phone, to encourage and pray for one another. One of our favorite things to do was to sing hymns when life’s challenges felt insurmountable. His favorite Hymn was “There’s a race for us to run—Hallelujah” and we would sing it every-time we talked. He would take me up into the mountains to look at God’s creation every time I would come to town and to help me see that life’s trials were never too big for the God that created such a masterpiece. I have tears coming down my face as I write this, because of the sorrow that fills my soul, as I have been robbed of a pillar and dear friend in my life. I rejoice however that Colin is at the feet of Jesus and I look forward to the day we can sing praises to God alongside each other once more.
