Coleen Jankowski passed peacefully on Thursday, August 22 at the age of 73, with family and friends by her side.

Born October 17, 1950 in Los Angeles, California, Coleen’s life mission was to be a nurse’s nurse, consistently going above and beyond the call of duty to provide the quality of care her patients needed. Her specialties included ER and hospice care. Coleen volunteered in all of her children’s classrooms and gave childcare to dozens of families over her lifetime. Coleen was most readily described as kind, generous, smart, loving and beautiful.

Coleen’s survivors include her four children, their father, their two grandchildren, her uncle, two nephews, and many beloved cousins and wonderful friends. Among those Coleen joins are her parents, her sister and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.  Coleen's family will hold a memorial gathering in January 2025 to honor her memory. Her family suggests donations in her name and memory to the Columbia Play Project or a charitable organization close to your heart.
