Cole Wesley Woody Jr., “Wesley” entered Heaven peacefully, in the arms of his parents, on October 25, 2025 after a short battle with Congenital Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Wesley was born October 22, 2025, at 11:11a.m., weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was born to his loving parents, Cole and Anna Read Woody.

During his four days on Earth, Wesley was deeply loved, held many hands, and received countless kisses. In addition to his parents and big sister, Mary Lou, he will be forever remembered by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Woody(Jackie); maternal grandparents, Andy and Holly Barth; aunts and uncles, T.J. Woody (Ashley) and their children, Lexington, Thomas, and Wyatt; Brookley Labas (John) and their children, Jonah, Bayleigh, and Everett, Pearce Barth (Sarah); and great-grandparents, Gail Tomney, Glenda Pearce Sewell, and Sonny Tomney. He was greeted in Heaven by his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Woody “Ding”.

Wesley will always be his parent’s precious boy and Mary Lou’s little brother.

The service will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025. The family has requested a private memorial service due to the sensitive nature of the situation. This will be a difficult journey, and your prayers, compassion, and heartfelt words during this time are appreciated. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Connor's Heroes. This non-profit organization is dedicated to helping families in Central Virginia cope with childhood cancer and supporting research to conquer it. The organization has been extremely supportive through this process, and the family would love to give back to them.

The family would like to thank the amazing nursing staff in the Neonatal NICU at VCU Medical Center for their knowledge, love, compassion, and support during this tough time.
