In 1989, I started, working for Consolidated Freightways in Billings Mt. as a casual over the road transport operator, it was a hectic time of the year as it was during the winter and on one particular trip from Blgs, Mt. to Osburn, Ida. Commander Cody , Mike Coolidge, Mark Seely, and I, started out on a snowy trip across the state. The drivers there were professionals in every sense of the word! We had started out the trip with triples and after getting into snowy icy roads, Cody being in front of our C.F. mini convoy alerted us to some icy covered roads ahead and suggested we start looking for safe spots where we could drop our third trailer as it was against the law to pull 3 trailers across snow covered roads. I always felt comfortable relying on Cody for knowing what was prudent and called for. Cody {Commander Cody} as his friends called him was always a jolly and compassionate soul in anything he undertook in life. My heartfelt feelings to Commander Cody and Mel for the love and compassion that comes so freely from the heart! Until the day we meet again and have a coffee and a long overdue conversation.
