You are the most reliable and real person I know. You loved to your fullest capability. Seen the light in a dark path this world created. You raised everyone’s spirits when you were around. I’ve known Cody for so long, I met him the summer before I got into the high school, he was exactly 10 days older than me. We used to always walk the halls early in the morning and he would always have this speaker he would put in his backpack and bump music throughout the halls 😂 he also rode my bus and lived maybe a 15 minute walk from my house. We hung out almost everyday after school, we had so many deep conversations between him talking about stuff that was bothering him and was heavy in his chest and me doing the same. It was never a dull moment with little Cody- which he got that nickname bc we had 2 Cody’s in our little friend group ; so it was Big Cody and Little Cody.
Cody and I hadn’t talked in a while when I got pregnant with my first son and me and my mom pulled up to sonic where he worked at the time, I had been craving a ice cream cone and Cody recognized mine and my mothers voice through the speaker and MADE SURE he hooked me up on the ice cream and put soooo much ice cream in the cone I almost couldn’t even finish it😂😂 and he brought it to us with the BIGGEST smile on his face. I haven’t talked much to him since then but he will always hold a place in my heart..
I love and miss you little Cody! You left a hole in so many people’s hearts when you left, but I’m glad you’re finally free and are at peace. I just know you’re watching over me. I wish you could’ve met Jay and Princeton, I just know you and Jay wouldve had such an amazing bond, Uncle Cody won’t go forgotten! I’ll always tell my boys our high school stories!!🩵💚

Oh, Karen, and all of your family and friends, we are so full of sorrow and sadness for the passing of Cody. He had the best life being raised in your family. He was so blessed to share his life with you, and for you sharing your lives with him.
Peace be with you all after this very sad time, and carry your wonderful memories of Cody, safe inside your hearts.
