Clynton's obituary

Clynton Ray "Melon" Helpenstill, aged 47, preceded in death by grandparents, passed away in January 2025 and was survived by his mother Kenna Prior and Frank Prior, and by his father Robert Paul Helpenstill and Sherry Helpenstill; his brother Justin Helpenstill and family, sisters Jennifer Paulette Goff and family, and Anna Stasia Torres; and additional siblings Christy Dalton and family, Leslie Dalton and family, and Alex Prior and family. Clynton never met a stranger and freely gave love to all who crossed his path. He cherished quality time with loved ones as much as embarking on a new adventure, attending concerts, or cruising the open road on his motorcycle. As a passionate advocate for veterans' wellbeing, he played an instrumental role in coordinating numerous events for American Legion Post 231. Though he was known for his tough exterior, Clynton had a tender heart and a "teddy bear" nature that will be missed most of all. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
