Clyde's obituary

Clyde Robert Kilby 67 of Orange, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 2, 1953 in Madison and was the son of the late Otha Kilby and Bernice Ruffner Kilby. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Elaine Terrell Kilby; brothers, William Rudolph Kilby Sr., Larry Wayne Kilby Sr., and David Lee Kilby.

Mr. Kilby was a former employee for over 40 years at American Woodmark in Orange, VA and loved coaching. Over the years you could find him on the basketball court or on the field coaching kids and encouraging them to be the best they could be. He was baptized early in life at Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Haywood VA. He later moved his membership to Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in Tanners under the leadership of Pastor Walter Bryant where he was a dedicated deacon spreading the gospel. He was serious yet a jokester and loved his family.

He is survived by his special friend, Dianna Carter, daughter, Shavohna Terrell of Orange; sons, Logan Terrell and wife Amanda of Will County Illinois, Jahmel Terrell and wife Ebony of Orange; sister, Eunice Mae Kilby of Madison, brother, Carl Max Kilby of Madison; special niece, Kassandra Kilby of Louisa, special nephew Larry Kilby, Jr. of Madison; five sisters-in-law, Pauline Porter Kilby of Madison, Phyllis Johnson Kilby of Culpeper, Lisa Arrington Kilby of Madison, Karen Terrell of Orange, Stephanie Terrell of Madison, and Barbara Jean Wood and husband David of Madison; grandchildren, Dakair, Xavier, Jaylen and Joslen.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Haywood, VA conducted by Pastor Walter Bryant.

A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 am Saturday, December 19 at Preddy Funeral Home in Orange, VA. Social distancing will be enforced. Please wear a mask as you pass through to pay last respects and speak to the family.
