I will always remember the love and support your father showed by dependably attending our basketball games through the years. If there was a Warriors or Dons game, chances were he would be there. I wish you the best during these difficult times. He will be fondly remembered.
I am so very sad to hear of the loss of this great man. Clint was a wonderful person and I have the best memories of him at Groth Bros. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time.
My memory of Clint was as a skinny barely 18 year old (going on 16) on the basketball court at KU in 1975.  He was already a seasoned player, but I remember vividly his kindness to me as a punk freshmen nobody. It struck me then and it struck me again almost 40 years later at a KU players reunion as he smiled when we shook hands.  I wish we would have been neighbors and friends during all those years, but lives go different directions.  When I read in the obituary he being described as "calm, cool and collected", had to laugh out loud because that's exactly my memory of a great guy!
I was a teacher and former ass't basketball coach at Leavenworth High and also  kept the  bb scorebook over 40 years.   Clint scored 42 points in a game which at that time was a Pioneer school record for most points in a game.  No question Clint was one of the best high school basketball players to wear the Pioneer blue and white uniform.  He is one of only three basketball players selected in the Leavenworth High Sports Hall of Fame.  At Kansas University he was the first Jayhawk player to play in 100 games.  When ever he saw me he always talked to me very respectfully.
Clint was the first neighbor I met when I moved into Jayhawk Towers in 1976. I’ll never forget that infectious smile and calming voice as he shook his head when not being able to grant the request for a cup of sugar! We enjoyed the years in Lawrence as time went on, and I only wish we could have seen each other more as the years passed. But, we will.
