I met Cliff in 1993 when I was hired at Canon of Virginia. We became friends and tight coworkers as we worked together on the advance robotic application. I will never forget the first bit of advice he gave me, he said, (Reese they don't know, the problem is they don't know that they don't know) so don't get frustrated.

That advice I carry with me to this very day.

I knew Cliff many years ago in high school.  He was funny and smart.  He grew into a wonderful man who served his country and honored God by being good to others is what I read in his obituary.   The Bible says a good name is precious and from what I read, that’s what he left his family.  A father, husband and friend to be proud of and that speaks volumes.

Collin, I am so sorry about the loss of your Dad! I know there are no words that could console you or make it any better. Please know that your shipyard family loves you and we are here for you!
Wrapping you in love at a time when words fall short.
Brion and I are deeply saddened to hear of Clifton’s struggle with cancer, and his passing. We send hugs and prayers to all of you, and wishes for the strength you will need to get through this very difficult time of grieving. Much love to you all.
Cliff was one of my Navy USS Dwight D Eisenhower Brothers in the later 1980s and early 90’s.  We had some great times on Jason Avenue, around the Norfolk area and all around the Med.  Cliff was a very good friend; even in the room eating ice cream with Janie, another dear wonderful friend, when my son was born. He  told me he would take care of my wife and new baby as I was getting shipped off to support Desert Storm and he did.  We lost touch as our lives moved in different direction but when we did get together it was like the time hadn’t passed The day we last saw him was the day he was put on hospice. As we were leaving I gave him a chair hug and said, “See you later, brother.”  His response was, “You know they put me on Hospice this morning”. I looked him in the eye and whispered “I didn’t say where.” As one of his favorite artists, and fellow Texan, sang “The Sky is Crying”.  I pray I get to see him again… on the other side.  Scoob
I'm so sorry for your loss, Cliff was a great guy I enjoyed serving in the Navy with him.
