With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Clifton Rodgers Shaw, who peacefully passed away on July 31, 2023, after demonstrating incredible courage throughout his battle with cancer. Clifton was a loving and compassionate soul who touched the lives of those around him in countless ways.

Born and raised in the heart of Middle Town, NY, Clifton embraced his roots and remained a resident throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gordon and Larese Shaw, as well as his cherished sister, Debra Scott (Debbie), and niece, Amber Scott. Clifton's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his dear siblings, Laraine (Robert) MacLaughlin and his first born nephew Nathan W. Balcom III (Jennifer), as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Clifton's passion for music knew no bounds, and he found joy in exploring all genres. Alongside his love for melodies, he had a profound affection for bike riding, relishing the freedom it brought him. Clifton's heart was also deeply connected to animals, especially cats, whom he showered with affection and kindness.

In respect of Clifton's wishes, private services will be held, honoring the beautiful memories he shared with those closest to him. The family kindly requests contributions be made to both the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society of New York, causes that held a special place in Clifton's heart.

To know Clifton was to be touched by his warmth, and caring nature. As we bid farewell, we find solace in the knowledge that his legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him in return. Until we meet again, may he rest in eternal peace.
