Claudia's obituary
Claudia (Kapelle) Ethridge went to be with God on January 8th, 2025.
She was born November 2, 1935 to Harley & Naomi(Bennett) Kapelle.
2 Sisters, Kathryn & Carolyn, whom the 3 of them were Closer than friends.
She spent her childhood in Banning CA.
Her teen years in Pasco WA.
She attended Pasco High School, was in Glee Club & Nonettes, the elite choir because of her beautiful voice, & was active in Student Government, Graduating in 1953.
She worked as a telephone operator when it was still required for transfer to other phone numbers with an operator!
She also worked as a Receptionist in an Insurance office where she met the Love of her life, Marvin Leo Ethridge. 3 months later they were married on March 10th, 1957. 5 years later they got their Daughter Laurie Ann, 1 year after their Son Brian.
Then she worked for Wilkie's In & Out. Pasco's finest Burgers!
She was a successful League Bowler (in Pasco WA & Meridian ID) with Many Trophies.
She then moved to Kuna ID (with a short stint in Menominee MI) where she was a waitress at Vic Haus Restaurant & Lounge that later became Mike's Hillcrest Restaurant & Lounge until retiring. Then worked at Hickory Farms during the Christmas season until 2019.
They bought a wonderful home in Boise ID where she lived for 45 years.
She was raised in the Methodist Church, Pasco WA & also attended at Kuna United Methodist church. Ten Mile Community Church became her home. She was a volunteer for various functions & very active with the Seniors.
Claudia & Marvin were members of the Good Sam Kuna Kaveman RV Club, also avid motorcycle riders, Claudia always on the back of Marv's bike. Many road trips every summer!
She was The Best Mommy Ever. Everything she did was with Love.
She is preceded in death by her loving Husband Marvin of 52 years, her parents Harley & Naomi, Her Sisters Kathryn Hill & Carolyn Watson, Her Grandsons Chris R & Isaac Leo Reimer Howard, Son in-law David Howard, Sisters in-law & Best Friends Geneva Post & Joyce Babcock with many more family members already with God.
She is survived by her Daughter Laurie(Eric)Oleson of Northern ID & Son Brian(GG, her loving nurse) & their 3 Sons all of CA. A step Grandson, David Howard Carmicheal & Great Granddaughter Charmaine Howard Brandon. Sister in-laws Violet, Bernice, & Anita. Many Nephews & Nieces, Family & Friends & Neighbors whom she loved dearly.
