Clarke's obituary

Clarke Ferrell Reynolds passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Clarke was born August 18, 1935 to Edward and Bernice Reynolds in Long Beach, California.

Clarke married Barbara Ann Skaggs on June 2, 1956 in Fort Worth. They had three children together, a son Daniel and two daughters, Kathleen and Amy. Clarke led his family as an example of kindness, patience, humor and love.

Clarke entered the Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of Airman First Class. After completing his military service, Clarke enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career with the US Postal Service. His favorite assignment was as a letter carrier in Southwest Fort Worth, where he walked his route each day and made numerous friends with the residents and business owners. He later moved into service as a supervisor and manager, earning a reputation as a man of character, humor, loyalty and strong work ethic.

Clarke enjoyed many years as an avid bowler, making friends and memories over several decades. Many afternoons and weekends were spent bowling in leagues and competing in tournaments. Clarke was also a terrific youth bowling coach, introducing many youngsters to the sport and encouraging them as they developed skills to enjoy the sport for years. Clarke also enjoyed playing golf, painting with oils and was an expert on all things regarding World War II.

Clarke was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, his granddaughter Sarah Ann, his parents and many friends. He surely has received quite a loving welcome to his Heavenly home.

Clarke is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Barnes (and Zane) and Amy Kuhns (and John) grandchildren Penny Barnes, Scott Barnes, Rob Kuhns (and Liesa) Jillian Hurdt (and Kevin) and five great-grandchildren.
