Clark's obituary
CLARK D. TODD, JR.
Age 84, of Norwich, VT (formerly of Mount Vernon, WA and Huntington, WV), died on December 13, 2025. Born on March 8, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Clark D. and Suzanne M. Todd. He received a B.S. degree from Marshall University, and an MBA from George Washington University. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran, serving his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife Sally J. Todd; two children, Christopher L. Todd and wife Jenny Rae of Aurora, Colorado, and Kendall L. (Todd) Lee and husband Chris of Norwich, VT; four grandsons, Aiden Rowley, Mitchell Rowley, Liam Todd and Duncan Todd; and multiple cousins, nephews and extended family.
Clark spent his entire professional career in the healthcare industry, primarily as a hospital administrator starting in York, PA, then Sedro Woolley, WA and later in southern California. He founded Community Homewell, which was the first home health agency in the Skagit Valley and later Todd Medical, a durable medical equipment provider. He served as Hospital Commissioner for Public Hospital District No. 1, overseeing what is now Skagit Regional Health and continued to serve the healthcare community at large as an independent consultant and expert witness into his 80's.
He was devoted to his community through his involvement in numerous organizations supporting Marshall University, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Pheasants Forever, the Episcopal church and others focusing on spirituality, education, healthcare, the environment and the arts. He was a proud Navy man, committed Mariner fan, wine enthusiast and loved his faithful and enthusiastic field companions (Chequers, Megan, Tory, Cocoa, Killie, Hogan and Tilly). He possessed an enduring appetite and appreciation for literature, history, words, critical thinking and informed dialogue. Above all, he was a loving and supportive husband, father, friend and mentor.
The family wishes to thank so many family and friends who continued to support Clark and Sally as their health deteriorated. There will not be a funeral, but a small private service will be planned in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Marshall University or St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hanover, NH.
