Clarence's obituary

Clarence Wayne Shea of Tacoma, WA. passed away on October 30, 2020 while at home. Born December 24, 1932 in Dayton, Wa. to Clarence and Olga Shea, Wayne graduated from Dayton High School in 1951. Wayne joined the United States Air Force August 15 1952 and was stationed in England where he met the love of his life Edna Robinson and married her on September 3, 1956. They traveled the world having three children, Raymond, Marina, and Paul.
Wayne served as a radioman waist gunner on a B-36 peacemaker bomber, ground radio intercept radio operator and was one of the first to receive training as a missile maintenance technician where he served in Thailand and Vietnam in support of combat operations in 1068-69. His awards and decorations include, Air Force Outstanding Unit award, Air Force Longevity award, Small Arms Expert ribbon, both Army and Air Force good conduct medals, American Defense Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Services Medal, Republic ofVietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Air Crewmans Badge and Master Misslemans Badge. Wayne retired from the Air Force in 1972.
In 1976 Wayne went on to work for the state of Washington as the facility superintendent at Camp Murray and received state recognition for saving the life of a co-worker during a medical emergency. Wayne retired from Camp Murray in 1996.
Wayne was an avid bowler playing in numerous leagues throughout Tacoma and was well known in bowling circles.
Wayne was pre deceased by his wife Edna and is survived by his children, Raymond, Marina and life partner Carl Gordon, Paul and Annette Shea, Grandchildren Chandler Shea, Sam Shea, Cody Shea, Denise and Dave Raynor, Michelle Shea, Patrick Shea, and Great Grandson Evan Raynor.
