Clarence Marvin “Clarabell” Moon Jr., 69, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia.
Born on November 23, 1955, in Aiken, South Carolina, Clarence was a man of many passions and a heart full of kindness. He was a devoted husband to Deborah Moon and a loving father to his son, Robert Moon. His family extended to his daughter-in-law, Skyler Moon; his nephew, Robert Michael Moon Jr.; his niece, Sherry Colin; and his great-niece, Carry Wheeler.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Marvin Moon Jr. and Willie Mae Standridge Moon; his brother, Robert Michael Moon Sr.; and his sisters, Deborah Johns and Barbara Bonner. He also mourned the loss of his son, Clarence Marvin “Pea-Knuckle” Moon Jr., whose memory remained close to his heart.
A man of deep generosity and unwavering support for those around him, Clarence was known as an honorary grandfather to many and a cherished friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for collecting knew no bounds—whether it was sci-fi memorabilia from Star Trek and Star Wars or retro video games and computer parts. His love for these worlds of imagination brought joy not only to himself but also to those he shared them with.
Clarence’s presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him. May his memory bring comfort and warmth to all who were touched by his kindness.
