Dear family and friends,
I am writing to you today to let you know that our mother gained her heavenly wings this morning. We none know the day nor the hour. A year ago our mother Clara Wingard was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. She’s completed a series of chemo treatments. During this time we found out that her Life Insurance had lapsed. We have made several attempts to obtain insurance but was unsuccessful. In recent weeks we received notification that her treatment was no longer working. This past week she was hospitalized for pneumonia and also received word that her cancer has spread to her lungs.
My sister and I requesting your assistance in whatever a God lays in your heart to donate. We know it can be a struggle to to find the funds to cover the cost of the service. Based on our research we have received quotes from $3800 to $7300 for funeral cost.
Our goal is to pay all funeral costs as soon as possible to Harrington Funeral Home in Waycross, Ga. We’re starting a fundraiser to collect donations for Clara Wingard as we prepare.
