Clara's obituary
She was preceded in death by one daughter Alicia Cecile Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her two older brothers, James and Robert and two older sisters, Mary and Martha, and her parents. She is survived by two daughters Dita Marie Freeman, and Leila Annette Freeman Alguacil, and spouse Manuel Alguacil. One son Edwin Arthur Freeman and spouse Maria Freeman also seven grandchildren. Clara was a Registered Nurse and graduated with honors from the Lincoln School of Nursing in New York, NY in 1950. She became acquainted with the truth in the early 1960's and had both personal and family studies with Jehovah's Witnesses for many years till her baptism on December 4, 1977. As a true follower of Jesus Christ, she demonstrated her love and devotion for Jehovah God and her care of people by assisting them to learn about him. She attended the Pioneer school in Durham, North Carolina in 1987, and engaged in the full time preaching work as a Pioneer along side her older sister Martha until 1995. Here in San Antonio, Clara was well known for her elegant sense of style, love of hats, and a warm, giving spirit. She was very kind and generous and would give gifts of love to many of the friends. Many of the brothers were pleasantly surprised with her gift of a personally selected and well coordinated tie, pocket silk and tie clip whenever they gave a public talk. She would lovingly gift friends with her delicious homemade fig and strawberry preserves. She would also encourage the children to comment at the meetings by giving them a polished up dollar coin whenever they raised their hand to answer. Clara was very thoughtful of others and would always do her utmost to be present to support and fulfill the need of any of the friends as soon as she knew they needed help. She would always kindly say to anyone and everyone that they were "Precious". Proverbs 3:5, 6 was her favorite scripture. She eagerly put her faith and trust in Jehovah and dearly loved him with all her heart! She was such a wonderful example of a loving, caring Mother and Woman of Godly devotion! Our Mom is and was deeply loved by all in her family and is truly missed by us and so many friends! We too, wholeheartedly put our faith and trust in Jehovah. We unitedly hold onto the guarantee of the resurrection. We know and truly believe that Jehovah yearns to awaken her soon because she is a very "Precious" daughter to him!
