Clara Lee Nicholson, 80 passed away July 1, 2020 unexpectedly at her home in Kemp, Texas. She was born in Tullos, Louisiana and she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Earl Nicholson. Surviving Clara are her children; daughter, Brenda Harmon and sons, Jerrell Fontenot and Deryl Fontenot. She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Fontenot, parents Sally Nola Clark and George Washington McCartney along with 4 Brothers and 1 Sister. She leaves behind in legacy 2 grandchildren; Jason Stonestreet and Jennifer Starkey, 6 great grandchildren; Faith, Ella, Hope, Jaxson, Caroline and Trinity. Also sisters Betty Faye Taylor, Janice Knighten, Sue Moran and brother, Freddie Glen McCartney among many other family members. Clara had a great love for animals and was a fantastic cook! She was also an avid Sports Fan! She will always be remembered as a strong women who always had time for others and a strong will for life. Clara will be greatly missed by all the family and friends who had the pleasure of being part of her life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at 145 Jason Delrie Rd., Colfax, LA 71417.
