Clara Jimenez Isaacs, also known as Grandma or Clarita to many, February 6, 1930 - January 20, 2021. Clarita was a loving mother to James (Julia), Richard (Cory), Marti (Joe), Sonia (Mark), and Sandy (Eduardo) and wife to the late Jorge (George) Isaacs. Born in Bituima, Colombia, she attended Maria Auxiliadora school where she earned a degree in business administration and later worked for Remington Rand, Britannica, and Otis Elevator in various administrative and accounting roles. She married Jorge Isaacs in 1958 and moved to Chicago in 1960, where they raised their 5 children. They retired in Franklin Park, Illinois where she found community at St. Gertrude's Parish. Clarita enjoyed spending time with her family and parish, as she was anchored in and by her faith. Thoughtful and kind, she naturally was adopted by many as their own "Grandma." She is survived by her aforementioned children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and carried on in our hearts; may our cherished memories of her allow us to feel her presence more than her absence. Thank you in advance for your heartfelt condolences and support in this time. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her place of faith, St. Gertrude Parish.
