Claire's obituary

Claire M Woodlea, 24, of Belmar, New Jersey, passed away September 12 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. She was born and raised in Belmar, New Jersey, where she met her husband Ryan Woodlea. The couple were wed in June of 2019. Claire graduated from Pineland's School of Practical Nursing and Allied Health and first began her early career as a nurse at Monmouth Medical Center. Claire was a beacon of light in her community, often volunteering to babysit for her neighbors or pet-sit for her friends on her days off. She was a talented and singer and musician, and sometimes volunteered to perform at Joe's Pizza and Restaurant in Wall Township where she worked part-time throughout high school. She loved to walk her dog, Iris, on the boardwalk, and spend her time at the beach with her cousins in the summer time. Most importantly, Claire was a loving wife, daughter and cousin to her family.

She is survived by her doting husband of two years, Ryan B. Woodlea, her mother and father, Amy Anderson-Keating and David Rutlidge; her mother and father-in-law Cassidy Woodlea and Chet Woodlea; her loving siblings and their spouses: Andrew Rutlidge and Charlie Tate, Joseph Rutlidge of Charlotte, NC; and her many cousins: Ava Anderson, Erika Anderson, Christian Prevosti, Sophia Prevosti, Katie Prevosit, Nicholas Spare, Gabriella Spare, Mia Spare, Holly-Anne Nebolini and Parker Nebolini.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic State of Emergency, funeral services will be held privately.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Rose in Belmar at a later date.

Donations can be made to the parish or religious order of your choice for Masses to be said for the repose of her soul. Other donations can be made in her name to Schenectady County Right to Life, Inc. or The Joan Nicole Prince Home, Scotia, NY.
