Nana was a extraordinary person. And shared her love with so many others.
To me she was an incredible grandmother. To others, she was a loving mother, an incredible nurse, a great friend, an amazing travel partner, stellar bridge-player, a devout church-goer among many, many other roles to many people.
While I never got to see many of these parts of Nana, she was always 'mine' Nana to me. And ask anyone a story about Nana, and you will see the depth and variety of love she had for the world.
My earliest and some of my fondest memories of Nana were her getting back from trips seeing the world. She loved to show pictures of her trips; whether is was Australia, Amsterdam or Argentina. She instilled a deep sense of adventure into me and my brother from a very young age. And she was always so excited to come back and show us her pictures.
So while Nana has not traveled in the world in quite a while, I am sure she is traveling allover in the afterlife. She is there 'saving her sugar', waiting patiently for the rest of us to join her one day so she can give us the love she always has.

Claire and I met in 1977 at Wuesthoff ‘s orientation for new hires. Claire was hired for 1st shift, I for 2nd. Within a few months we were nursing side by side. That’s when we realized, we lived a few blocks from one another. Became great buddies. We enjoyed many a Ladies Night out with fellow nurses, friends and great funny memories.
Claire became a matchmaker!! She was adamant for me to meet a friend of hers Charlie. She knew in her heart he was for me. Our marriage lasted for 44 wonderful years. I will forever grateful for her matchmaking.
Claire had a huge impact in my life. Your blessings, big heart and love forever live in my heat.
One last time________I love you❤️😥

She was such an amazing person and excellent nurse still remember when I was 14 and was admitted to the hospital and had to have surgery and when she found out I was going to be on her floor after surgery she made sure that she was my nurse. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t still be alive today. She quickly noticed once they brought me to my room that something wasn’t right and continuously monitoring me and noticing I was only getting worse so she quickly made a call to a Dr friend of my parents who just so happened to be at the hospital making sure for my parents that my surgery went ok. She called him and told him he needed to come quickly that it wasn’t looking good and that I needed to go to ICU. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here today. You will be greatly missed Nana.

Clair and Marci taught me to scrub my thumbs when I washed my hands.
