Cipriano's obituary
We tearfully announce the unexpected passing of Cipriano Abaya, a cherished father, husband, and grandfather, who left us on the 21st of August, 2025. Cipriano was born on the 26th of September, 1950 in Pangasinan, Philippines. Throughout his 74 years, he lived a life full of achievement and devotion to his loved ones.
Cipriano will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Marilyn, their children, Myreille, Janine, and Harold. He will also be fondly memorialized by his granddaughter, LeeAnn, who brought immense joy to his life.
To LeeAnn, he was ‘Lolo. When she was little, every time she saw a vending machine, she would ask, ‘Where’s Lolo?’ because he used to collect so many quarters. Cipriano was also known to others as "Tito Ray" and "Manong Ray".
Cipriano found tranquility and satisfaction in gardening, a hobby he passionately pursued in his free time. His most successful harvest were okra and cucumber varieties. The vibrant blossoms of his garden were a testament to his nurturing and patient nature.
Over the years, Cipriano stood as an example of hard work and determination. One of his remarkable achievements was his invaluable contribution as an auditor at Westinghouse in the Philippines during his 20s, where he met his wife, Marilyn. His dedication to his work was a testament to his strong character and commitment.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly encourage contributions to the "Cipriano Abaya Memorial" fund as a way of honoring his memory. You may visit https://everloved.com/life-of… to make your donation.
