A mutual friend of Cindy's recollected with me recently how she took a young lady who could not afford student housing into her home. This act of  kindness was among hundreds Cindy did for students.

My deepest condolence to Cindy's family. I worked with Cindy as her administrative support while she was at Cleveland State University and we developed a close bond and stayed in touch over the years. Not only was she my boss but more importantly, she was my friend. She was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed.

 I first worked with Cindy in Boca Raton in 2003. Then, again in south Georgia in 2007. She was a Dean and Vice President. She was an effective leader. She was number one in the nation in student retention consulting for several years. Most importantly, she was a dear and trusted friend. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
