Cindy's obituary

Cindy McCay Mulford, age 61, passed away Friday morning, October 5, 2018 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. A memorial service will be conducted at Hope Church in the chapel located at 8500 Walnut Grove Road in Cordova, TN. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 and the service will begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 8.
Cindy graduated from Overton High School in Memphis, TN and The University of Memphis with a BA, a masters and +45 hours and above, all in elementary education. Cindy was a devoted teacher and educator in the Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools before her retirement. She was a member of Hope Church on Walnut Grove Road in Cordova, TN.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Wayne McCay, sister-in-law, Tammi Embry and brother-in-law, James Ammons. Cindy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry Mulford of Bartlett, TN; her mother, Claty McCay of Cordova, TN; her father and mother-in-law, WD and Geraldine Mulford of Bartlett, TN; her two sisters; Dianna (Danny) Samples of Nesbit, MS, and Patty Ammons of Cordova, TN and one brother, Tim (Amy) McCay of Houston, TX and one brother-in-law, Michael Embry of Austin Texas along with her beloved 8 nieces and 9 nephews whom she loved as her own.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association and The Navigators.
