I remember going to her house with other students in 3rd grade and on the way home she got stuck with her full size Bronco.
My heart breaks learning the passing of Cindy.  She was a very beautiful soul who always made you feel loved. My condolences to Jim, Laurel, Aaron and family.

I first met Cindy in 5th grade at Johnsville Elementary.  We were in junior high school together at Roosevelt but then she went to Anoka High School and I went to Coon Rapids.  We attended each other's birthday parties and often saw each other at camp.  We were classmates at Bethel College with both of us earning elementary education degrees.  Later in life I started attending Oak Haven and reconnected with her then.   She was one of the first people to invite us to a "Snack and Yack" at her home.  Prayers for Jim, Laurel, Aaron, and the grandkids as they adjust to life without Cindy.  She will be so missed by many  but I take comfort in knowing I will see her again some day.

Love,

Janell Ducklow

Dear Jim so sorry to hear of Cindy’s passing. I had no idea she had been unwell. My prayers for you and your family. Joyce Birkeland Hansen.
Dear Jim and family, Of the times visiting Ham Lake Church from Florida, we have  fond memories of Cindy. With each visit there,  she would  reach out to us with  kind words and conversation. So lovely, funny, fun-loving, and kind she was. Just as Cindy extended Jesus to us,, may our Heavenly Father even more abundantly fill you with His comfort and peace during these times. Lovingly yours, Kathy and Larry Myers

Even though distance kept me from meeting Cindy, she was special to me.  She produced a pictorial record of a Birkeland Family reunion for us.  It was a wonderful gesture on her part for which I will be eternally grateful.
