Amazing Cindy departed five years ago yet she is in my heart, my thoughts every day. Her beautiful spirit will live on within those who lived her.
I remember many fond memories with Cindy. Truly a lighthouse for me and many others and helped my vision for myself as young as I was. She is like an aunt to me and will always be missed in my household for all the light she continues to bring in my future as well. I wish I knew her more, and had the chance to come out to her while she was still with us. Stay warm and keep dancing Cindy, I know I will try for you.
Cindy and I grew up in the country, small town, so our fun then was often related to playing in the woods, swimming in the lake, picking berries with our Mother or goofing around in our room. But we most enjoyed, from the time Cindy was 2, to go to tap and jazz dance class in Wrentham Center. We loved dancing and preparing for recitals!Later on I brought Cindy into Stanley Brown’s Dance Studio where we seriously trained in dance, as Stanley was one of the best of the old time hoofers. And he didn’t care that it was 90 degrees and high humidity and no air conditioning! We danced and danced.... we continued exploring dance when we lived in Allston and had access to different forms of jazz dance and then social dancing. Dance was the glue that kept us so close!
We loved the beach and spent summer time in Matunuck in our beach cabin. Playing in the waves, collecting shells on our beach walks. Later on Cindy would turn her shells into jewelry or art!
What we seemed to enjoy the most was just being in the garden, picking herbs and speaking of meditation or yoga practices. We had found a common language beyond dance when Cindy became certified to teach Yoga!
We could discuss our love for Eastern Philosophy, Yogic concepts and health remedies. Riding our bikes through Goddard Park and explore any hidden paths in the woods while debating the deeper meaning of our purposes and life.
At the end Cindy declared to me that not only were we sisters, but I had nade her my buddy, bringing her with me everywhere, keeping her close.
She had her last tap dance in Venice after months of treatment, showing us her light playful spirit and strong fortitude especially when she had on her tap shoes!
Cindy’s body/mind has passed on but her huge Spirit and Heart live on for all of us, perhaps dancing in the heavenly spheres.

R&R will not be the same without her. She was a bright light!
I am so saddened to hear of Cindy's passing. I will never forget our wonderful dancing times together. She and Rick were quite the beautiful dancing fools!! LOL

Cindy-you will always be remembered & loved. Lynda Robinson
It was so clear as soon as I met Cindy that she loved life and gobbled up every second! We met at an art festival party and she introduced me as a friend a few minutes after we started talking. What a joyous person to be around. She had a contagious sense of being present. We met up again at the Y and it was all so easy to be with her and enjoy her presence. She blessed a few of my days and I am grateful to have met her and to have taken part in her enormous spirit. Peace to your family.

Rick, Tanya, family and Friends. I got to know Cindy when we worked together toward our Teacher Assistant certification. A few years later Cindy joined my artisan co-op in Wickford, and more recently we really enjoyed sharing our souls in a Khalil book chat group of The Prophet. She was one in a million, so full of life, love and fun. A smile that lite up the room. I am heart sick hearing this news. My deepest sympathies to you all. Lifting you all toward that universal source of all creation, praying for peace comfort and in time healing. Much Love, Diana Christie
Always loved watching her and Rick dance! She made it look so effortless. I have some lovely pictures of her and Rick I will post once I find them.
Don and Cindy share a long friendship, with all of the laughter, fun, trials and tribulations of the youth of our lifetime. They moved to Key West in 1978 as two friends ready to try a new place to live. Their lives then shifted till they meet again on the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park where Don and I teach yoga classes. Cindy and Rick came down to Key West to check it out and found us. It was a lovely rekindling of a new friendship for all 4 of us! Cindy lived life fully and it was always a blast to go out dancing, practice yoga, or go out on the water with her. She is missed! Much love to all who's hearts have been touched, uplifted, cared for and now grief her.

I am beyond sorry to read this news. My heart goes out to Rick and her daughters. She had such love for all her family and extended that love to her friends, many who became like family. First time I met her was at Cherie and Mike's, around a fire. Rick playing his guitar and Cindy tapping something in time. I knew of her before but felt her personality then. She and Cherie are dancing with her Jesse now.
