Cicely Faye Novy, age 36 of Minneapolis, MN, passed away November 20, 2022 surrounded by those she loved. Cicely was born on October 29, 1986 to Richard and Cheryl Novy (Thomas). After she graduated from high school in 2005, she joined the US Navy.

Cicely was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy from March 7, 2007 to May 6, 2012. Some of the notable decorations Cicely received as a sailor include:

Cicely was a kind hearted, generous and loyal person. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She never hesitated to do everything in her power to help those in need and never had any expectations of that help being returned. Her smile was unforgettable and could light up any room. She was courageous and a fighter up until the very end of her short life. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Cicely is survived by her mother Cheryl Novy (Thomas) of Cazadero, CA; her maternal grandmother Eileen Stiles (Gundt) of Bloomington, MN; her three sisters Rachel Novy of Lakeville, MN, Jennifer Novy of Anoka, MN, and Amy Novy of Inver Grove Heights, MN; seven nieces and nephews Raymond Novy, Isabella Bealieu, Sequoia Bealieu, Cash Ebertz, Gianna Judkins, Tristan Ploog, and Noah Ploog; her very best friend Mandi Marino of Minneapolis, MN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cicely was predeceased by her father Richard Novy; her paternal grandparents Henry and Velna Novy; and her maternal grandfather Raymond Thomas.
