Chris had mice in his house, and he set live traps for them, gave them names (Rosie was one), and released them in the park. Who does that? Chris did.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I have never met Christopher but I can feel the love, light and warmth and a good dose of humor in his pictures and beautiful stories.  A life well lived.

Chris, a man of many talents, elected to live self-sufficiently in quiet solitude. He was an agreeable guy who enjoyed the company of others but chose to live alone. We admired his skills and capabilities - there are few people who could do what he could. Conversations with Chris were always interesting; we never thought they would end so soon. Chris, we hope you found your peace in the forest. You will be missed and will be loved always. Erry and Hugh

Since even before Nancy Lee and I married, Chris was supportive, kind and generous. He could sometimes hide it in a gruff exterior, but he had a great heart and a giving spirit.
