Christopher's obituary
Christopher Robin Rose crossed over, in June of 2024. Although we should have been prepared, we still experienced shock and denial. We didn’t want to believe that hope of his recovery was gone, but it is. And while he may not have recovered here on Earth, we can now find comfort believing that he is recovering in the arms of Jesus.
The last many years of Chris’s life were tragic, and despite the discomfort of that truth, we are able to learn from Chris. His life is teaching us the importance of seeking help and accepting help. We learned that some choices affect everyone you love and some choices can’t be undone. We learned that despite the challenges of life, we can still love one another and forgive one another and learn not only from our mistakes, but from the mistakes of others.
Before Chris was ravaged by the drugs, he brought joy to our lives. He was always cracking jokes, and his smile was accompanied by his big dimples and playful laughter. He was talented beyond the average bear. He taught himself to play Entertainer on the piano when he was still a kid. He created an impressive wall size 3D mural of a dragon. His poetry was deep and meaningful leaving the listener in awe of his insights. He loved science. He taught us all about the mitochondria before it became a hot topic in the science world. He could take electronics apart and put them back together with ease. He loved mining for rare stones. He loved surfing. He would treat every stranger like a friend. He would give his shirt off his back or his last bite of food to anyone in need.
He has a heart of gold, and finally, the darkness that was hiding it has no hold over him anymore. He is free to love again.
We are grateful that you are finally resting in peace Chris. Your love and all the good you brought to the world will live on in our hearts forever.
