We all have precious memories of him, his inexhaustible optimism, his great sense of humor, his brilliance in imagining new and innovative approaches to solve hard problems, and his fearlessness in tackling them. On 16 December 2017 America lost a true hero, Lt Colonel Christopher Neil Quaid, USAF Retired.

Chris was born in Huffman, Texas, on 07 October 1970, to John and Martha Quaid. He was talented athletically, active in school and community programs, and graduated from Huffman High School in 1989. Chris went to Southwest Texas University, now Texas State University, on an ROTC scholarship. He graduated with a degree in Psychology and was commissioned as a …
