Christopher's obituary
With gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Christopher Akporode Osah announces his passing on March 8th, 2026 at the age of 82.
Christopher Osah, an alumnus of Government College, Ughelli, and a graduate of the University of Lagos, where he trained as a lawyer, was a proud member of the 1974 set of Foreign Affairs diplomats. He served his country with honor and distinction for many years before retiring in 2003. During his diplomatic career, he represented Nigeria in several international postings, including New York (both the Consulate and the Permanent Mission), New Delhi, and Geneva, among others.
After his retirement, he continued serving his community by working for several years as a realtor with ERA Besmatch in the Bronx, New York. During this time, he also remained deeply committed to his faith, serving as an Elder in his local church.
He visited his family in New York last year and returned to Nigeria in August. Just last week, he traveled to his hometown of Agbarho, Delta State where he peacefully passed.
We remember him as a devoted family man and a dedicated public servant whose life reflected service, humility and strength. He leaves behind a legacy of uncompromising faith in the Word of God which guided his life and inspired those around him.
His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
