Christopher Jay Andrews, 63, of Merced, California, passed away on May 26, 2023. He was born on June 27, 1959, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Duane and Dorane Andrews. Chris graduated from Beyer High School in Modesto, California, and later attended California Lutheran College in Thousand Oaks, California.

Chris was an extremely hard worker and spent most of his career employed by Save Mart and Golden Valley Engineering. He was a dedicated employee and always went above and beyond to help others.

Chris was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Heather Davis and Hillary Andrews, and six grandchildren: Harper Davis, Carter Andrews, Camille Andrews, Olivia Snell, Freddy Mays, and Aria Mays. He was preceded in death by his parents Duane and Dorane Andrews and siblings Matt, Jennifer, and Julie.

A private ceremony was  held on June 25, 2023, at the Britto Duck Club in Los Banos, California, where Chris’s ashes were distributed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Chris’s honor.
