Chris was loved very much by his soul partner of 16 years, Maggie, and her twins Zachary and Melissa. They have a daughter together Kristine, 13 years old, who looks like him and misses him very much. Chris worked hard to give them the life they deserved and l respected him for this. When he started to become very sick he worked until it wasn't physically possible anymore.  Maggie became his caregiver by making all his doctors appointments and taking him to them. She reminded him to take his medications and check his blood sugars. Their daughter, Kristine, helped with his care whenever possible. Maggie would drive him to dialysis 3 times a week and to doctors appointments which made it almost impossible for her to work. Zachary invited them to share his apartment when the time came and he made sure they had what they needed to live comfortably still. Chris continued to show his love and connection to them while he was suffering the effects of his illness. He was able to meet his grandson, Matthias, a week before he passed away. Chris filled a big hole in our family and he will be missed and loved forever. He left our life too early at 46 and made my daughter, Maggie, a widow too young. He was our son-in-law and we will miss him.
