Background

God came knocking on our family’s door this Christmas. What was supposed to be a day of love and joy became a tragic ATV nightmare.

Christopher “Chris” Flores lost his life in a horrible ATV accident which is still being investigated. As the head of the household, he worked to support his beautiful family: wife, Pilar Flores, and children: Madelyn “Maddie” Flores, Aiden Flores, Katelynn Flores, and Kirstin Flores.

He didn’t mind working long hours because he loved being a surgical nurse. He was kind, loving, compassionate, hardworking, and lighthearted, but most importantly, he was a family man. He loved cooking for his family and loved to travel to take them to see new things. He was always up for an adventure and always the life of the party. He is with our Heavenly Father, and we will miss you dearly.

Christopher's death was unexpected, and we don't have the funds we need to pay for his funeral. Christopher had just started a new job and did not have insurance yet. Anything donated will be used to offset funeral costs. Any donations beyond our goal will be used to help support Christophers' family. Thank you so much to everyone in advance for your support.
...............................................................................................

Thank you so much for reaching out and for all the love and support shown to our family during this time. We know many would like to know what has happened out of care and concern.

Christopher and his niece, Addisen, decided to go on a Christmas morning ATV adventure. Christopher had just taken most of the family off-roading, which he had done countless times.

Sadly, when the two were returning home, Christopher hit a boulder that he could not have seen, which caused the ATV to flip. A couple walking their dog found Christopher and Addisen shortly after the incident. We were told that Christopher had managed to get over to Addisen and was holding on to her when emergency vehicles arrived. Police have determined that Christopher was not driving recklessly and that this was a tragic accident.

Addisen was taken to a Colorado children's hospital where she passed away a few hours after the accident.

Christopher was taken to the hospital where he worked. He, unfortunately, was pronounced brain-dead due to his severe injuries. The following day, the family made the difficult decision to remove life support. Christopher was an organ donor and was able to help save a few lives.

Please understand this is a very tragic and sudden loss, and the family may not be able to respond or reach back out to everyone. We ask for your prayers during this time and are thankful for each and every one of you that have touched Christopher’s life.
Funds are being collected and disbursed by Angelica Jacobo, Christopher's cousin.
