Christopher's obituary
Christopher Thomas Fey (known as T-Bone to many), 74, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Born on October 15, 1951, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Chris lived a life defined by his entrepreneurial spirit, love for family, and his passion for helping others. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, William Herschell Fey, his mother, Martha Jane Fey, and his best friend, Toby Williams.
Chris graduated from St. Petersburg Catholic High School (Bishop Barry) and later earned his degree from the University of Florida School of Journalism. A proud Florida Gator, Chris cherished his time in Gainesville and carried that fondness throughout his life. His career was marked by bold ventures in healthcare, where he tirelessly pursued innovations to improve lives. One of his most notable achievements was the sale of Healthcare USA, to Coventry in the 1990s. Chris's drive to make a difference never waned. He and his brother continued to launch numerous healthcare companies, including their latest, U.S. Precision Medicine, Inc., which is advancing revolutionary cancer treatments.
Chris's zest for life extended beyond his work. He was a talented drummer with a love for rock 'n' roll, an avid boater who found peace on the water, and a storyteller who could captivate any audience. He adored animals of all kinds and was always especially fond of his dog Layla. Chris shared countless adventures with his brother Fred, throughout their lives in St. Pete, Gainesville, and on the Santa Fe River. He treasured moments with his wife Lorrie and the life they built together in the Northeast where he started an acting career all while cheering her on during her comedy tours. He was the coolest dad ever and was most proud of his sons Chris W., Jason, and Matthew and the people they have grown up to become. His love of family and his grandchildren Dylan, Charlotte, and Jordin was core to who he was.
A man of deep kindness and generosity, Chris lived by the Golden Rule and inspired those around him with his optimism and to live with a positive attitude above all. He was a loyal brother, a loving husband, and a devoted father and grandfather - simply the best.
Chris will be laid to rest at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on April 18 at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
