Christine R. Young, 35, of Rochester, NY, passed away on August 11th, 2022.

Christine was born on May 13th, 1987 to William Young and Deborah Hoveland in Rochester, NY. After graduating from Honeoye Falls Lima High School in 2005, she went on to earn her Bachelor's in hotel and restaurant management from Niagara University.

After graduating in 2009, she landed her first job at Marriott in Washington DC, kick starting a lifelong career in hospitality. Christine was passionate about her career and was a force in her field. She was extremely hard working and worked up until the day she died.

She met her husband, Charles, through mutual friends in 2011, and they quickly became best friends. They were married in Bon Air Park on September 26, 2020. It gives us great comfort to know her beloved husband was by her side on the day she passed.

Christine was a vibrant, energetic and fun-loving individual. Family was incredibly important to her and she was a dedicated daughter, sister and wife. She was an excellent cook and always planned the best meal and event for any special occasion. She will be greatly missed.

Christine is survived by her husband Charles Rainey; her parents William Young and Deborah Hoveland; her sisters Katie and Kelly Young; her brother-in-law William “Wes” Baggett; and her niece Bridget “Wren” Baggett.

A celebration of life and interment will take place at White Haven Memorial Park in Rochester NY on Wednesday, October 5th at 11:00 AM. Please refer to the Events tab for more information.
