Christine M. Unsworth, 57, of East Providence passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Thomas and Paula (Butterfield) Unsworth.

Christine recently retired after a 37 year career at Verizon where she was a proud active member of the IBEW 2323. She was a graduate of Bishop Keough High School. Christine was a talented artist who loved painting and drawing. She had an infectious smile with a great sense of humor and was generous to a fault with everyone she knew. Her family was very important to her, especially her niece and nephews who she adored.

Besides her parents she leaves one brother, Stephen J. Unsworth of East Providence, two sisters, Maryjo P. Greig of East Providence and Kathryn L. Fitch of Cranston, one niece, Angela Greig and three nephews, Cassidy Greig, Stephen Unsworth and Matthew Unsworth. She was the sister of the late Thomas H. Unsworth.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday, 4-7 PM
