Chris's obituary
Christine Louise "Twinkie" Turner, born on July 3, 1953, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Her departure marks the end of a life filled with creativity, warmth, and quiet strength.
Known affectionately as "Twinkie" to those closest to her, Chris brought joy and laughter into the lives of many. After a successful career as an engineer at Boeing, Chris retired with pride in her accomplishments and continued to enjoy occasional reunions with her former team—moments that reflected the camaraderie and respect they had built over the years.
Chris now joins her partner Mike "Spyder" Yarnell; parents Arthur and Jeannette; older sister Janine; younger brother Artie; and nephew Jeff in eternal rest. Her memory will be cherished by dear friends, her late partner's descendants, a boatload of cousins, brothers Steve and Dave, and a gaggle of nieces.
Outside of work, Chris embraced life with passion and generosity. A gifted cook, she delighted others with an array of delicious dishes that were always made with care. Her garden was a testament to patience and beauty—a space lovingly cultivated season after season. Animals held a special place in Chris’s heart, as did children; she had an uncanny knack for finding the best Christmas gifts for her nieces year after year. And when it came to croquet, Chris played with both skill and spirit—often emerging victorious in backyard competitions.
Chris's life was one of quiet impact—marked by thoughtful gestures, shared laughter, and enduring connections. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire kindness in all who carry her legacy forward.
