Christine's obituary

Christine Veronica Smith (Griffin), affectionately known as Tina, fell asleep in death on July 17, 2024, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, at the age of 80. One of eight children, Tina was born on March 3, 1944, in Smoaks, South Carolina to Jack and Hattie Griffin.

Tina lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and deep faith. She was a pillar of strength and love within her family and her dedication to her family knew no bounds. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. They were the light of her life, and she was their steadfast supporter and confidante. Her lessons of love and wisdom will continue to influence them and future generations.

A woman of profound faith, Tina was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 06, 1974. Her belief was the cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and purpose. She was passionate about sharing her faith and found joy in the fellowship of her spiritual family, who she held dear. Even after her diagnosis, Tina found great joy in encouraging others from God's word. She loved to talk to others about Jehovah and the wonderful future he hold's out to mankind and she often shared her favorite scripture, Isaiah 41:10, because she wanted others to find the same comfort in it as she did.  "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’"-Isaiah 41:10.

Tina is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Baiano Donohue and Mary Ann Smith; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Holbrook, Patrick Holbrook and his wife Thais, and Zoë Mallen and her husband Harrison; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Annaliese Flynn, Caroline Flynn, Reilly Flynn, and Luke Maverick Mallen.

A memorial service will be held on August 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 3265 Cumberland Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Family and friends may also join via Zoom.
