Christine's obituary
Christine was a firm believer in justice for animals and environmental conservation. She was an advocate for spaying and neutering pets, as well as a supporter for the local animal adoption and rescue teams. Her hands were rarely still for she possessed many artistic outlooks such as painting, stained glass, jewelry making, sewing and of course her home-cooking. Christine was famous for her lasagna made with herbs and vegetables from her lavish gardens.
For many years Christine taught earth sciences at Roland Grise Middle School in Wilmington, NC. It suited her servant heart. She said she did it because she wanted to captivate the minds of young adults. She believed that science was the magical wonder of this earth. “Ms. Potter” was most known for her tough-love, explosive experiments and unconditional support for every child that entered her classroom.
Please join us celebrating her life Sunday morning November 24th, between 12:00p.m. — 2:00p.m. at Oceanic 703 S Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite local charity http://newhanoverhumanesociet….
