I especially treasure two memories I have of Chris. One memory is of her sitting on her front porch, surrounded her husband and children and whomever else happened to be visiting. It was a huge welcoming porch with lots of joking and laughter. It was beautiful to be present there. The love and comradery were obvious and impressive. I really loved the vibe of that front porch. The second memory is when she arrived for my daughter's funeral week. She hugged me, mom to mom, and said that she was so sorry for my loss and she knew there was nothing she could say to make me feel better. Then she cleaned my kitchen and washed dishes for days, making sure that everyone who came to my house could eat something in comfort. Such an amazing act of service.
