We just heard about Chrissy passing away. Our hearts just ache for your whole family. No parent should lose a child. Chrissy was so talented and it seemed like she went on to do great things. You must have been so proud of her. Many years have passed since we did our weekly drive to Chicago but we will never forget you.

With sincere sympathy,

Tony and Julie Talens, AppLeton, WI

(Teresa and Deanna’s parents)

You are in our thoughts and prayers, Arun! Sincerely, Davina and Nickie King
I'm very sorry for your loss. I worked with Chrissy briefly with the youth orchestra. She was a lovely person.

Completely devastated that she would be taken away at the prime of her life. She had made a great impact upon students and the Music School here. We all will miss her terribly. May the Lord bless you, and keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace, Arun! Jane.
Jung, Yung and family,  Words are insufficient to express our sorrow for you and your family.  It has been a long time since we’ve been in touch but sweet memories never fade.  We want you to know that you are and will be in our prayers.  We are asking our Lord for an exceptional outpouring of mercy and strength and comfort for you during these days of mourning and pain.  In time we would really like to reconnect with you .  In the meantime, we hold you close in our hearts.  Our phone (land line) is 608-7832789.  Sincerely, Lynn and Miles Wilkins.
I will miss her beautiful smile.  She always greeted me with a kind word and a compliment.  I will miss her sweet spirit.

We miss Dr. Kim so much! Her beautiful smile and charming voice will stay in our mind forever!

Look at the sky— she is there!

Dr. Kim was a phenomenal teacher and beautiful person who made a big impact on me. I always looked forward to cello lessons with her, even when I hadn’t had much time to practice. She was always kind and supportive, and helped me choose repertoire I would enjoy learning and performing. She helped me overcome my shoulder pain by guiding me in a more body/health focused approach to playing. Some cello lessons ended up being more like therapy sessions when I was stressed and overwhelmed. I’d cry, and she’d offer a safe space and a listening ear for me to do so. She gave me so many opportunities during my time at MTSU. We visited Curaçao together, volunteering at a summer music camp there, and she is the reason why I had the opportunity to study in Italy one summer. I still remember going to her recitals and waiting in line to hug and congratulate her on another epic performance (she was soooooo good!!!!). She was my idol. Love you, Dr. Kim.
My deepest condoliances to Dr Kim’s family and friends. It is a big loss. She left a lasting impression in me, not only as a musician, but especially as a human being. I will always remember her kindness and generosity. I feel so grateful I got the chance to be her student. May she rest in peace.
Dr Kim will live on in the hearts of all who knew her for she was the living reminder of a quote by Maya Angelou, “People May forget what you said. People may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Dr Kim was a boundless shelter of love. Her humor, sweet nature and kindness will live on in the lives of all the people she touched.
It was an honor to have an office next door to hers. What an awesome  musician and colleague. I will miss her.
