Christine Elizabeth Jackson-Brailey (Chris), 72, of Miami Gardens, Florida, passed away on August 15, 2023 . She was born on October 9, 1950, in Lakeland, Georgia to her loving parents Bishop Jethro Jackson (deceased) and Flossie M. Williams-Jackson.
Chris attended North Dade Senior High School in Opa-Locka, Florida. After graduation she worked in retail for a brief period. I’m 1968 she met the love of her life Frankie Brailey, and after dating for a period of time, they wed on July 3, 1979. Chris was a dedicated housewife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister, she doted on her nieces and nephews. She was the crazy & fun sister, mother, aunt and grandmother, who loved to dance and be the life of all family gatherings. Chris encouraged all of her nieces, nephews and grandson to enjoy every moment in life to the fullest and to view every step in the process of as an adventure .
She leaves to mourn: her loving husband of 44 years, Frankie Brailey; 2- daughters: Rosalyn Jones and Famika (Crystal) Jones of Miami, FL; her loving and God fearing mother, Elect Lady Flossie Mae Williams-Jackson; three sisters: Linda Jackson-Young of Jacksonville, FL, Myrna Jackson-Kennedy, and Janie Jackson of Miami, FL; four brothers: Jethro Jackson, Jr. (deceased), Jeffery Jackson (Princess), Johnny Jackson all of Miami, FL; Jimmy Jackson of Augusta, GA; five grandchildren: Anthony (Ced) Jones, Romelia Brown and Tamika Joseph of Miami, FL; Martin Joseph, and Fred Stewart of Orlando, FL; two great-grandchildren: Jakiyah James (Jones) of Atlanta, GA, and Aubrey Brown of Miami, FL; nieces: Aniquia Gay (John), Luetisha Jackson, Christina Young-Owens (Tehran), Lavetta Griffin, Tiffany Jackson, Shanelle Palmer, Teresa Jackson, Terri Ware and Karen Jackson-Brailey all of Miami, FL; three nephews Dabari Griffin, Dustin Jackson, and Terrell Jackson of Miami, FL; special relatives; Angela Birch and Elijah Young and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
We would like to thank the nursing staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital – Downtown Miami who cared for her in her final time and extend our deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, At 6:00 p.m. at the Scott Galvin Community Center 1600 NE 126th St, North Miami, FL 33181.
