Christine Garfield Scott, affectionately called "Lorraine" was born on September 18, 1929 to the late Edward and Catherine Money.

God called his angel Lorraine home on January 15, 2025.

Lorraine received her education in the Newark School District.

In 1975, Lorraine married her best friend, Leo Barnett. Lorraine had lengthy tenure as an employee with both the University of Delaware and the State of Delaware.

Lorraine loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon's wife along with being a part of the Flower Ministry. One of her favorite sayings was "God always has a ram in the bush". Lorraine enjoyed spending time crocheting, knitting, watching westerns and cooking shows. During her time where she later resided at the Nursing home, she enjoyed playing Bingo and numerous other activities. Lorraine loved family and was elated to take part in raising her grandsons JayR and Matthew.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Deacon Leo Barnett, her son Robert F. Brown, her sister Lois Donahue and her beloved son-in-law Dennis Washington.

Lorraine leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Lois Washington, Linda Brown Anthony and Sharon Matthews; one nephew, Roland Donahue; eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
